Stigma Busters: A Mental Health Podcast

Stigma Busters was created in 2021 with the goal of educating the Wood County community about mental health issues. These conversations with local mental health professionals and advocates in the Wood County, Ohio community are informative discussions on stereotypes about mental health disorders, how family and friends can help their loved ones, the impact of policy change, and more. Mental health can and will affect us all, but we still don't talk enough about it... but why? Join NAMI Wood County, your local voice on mental illness, in the fight to address stigma, and educate our community one episode at a time!

Courtney Rice, MSW, LSW

I have worked with NAMI Wood County in my current role for about 4 years, but I have volunteered with our organization in many capacities over the years. I have my Bachelors of Art in Psychology from Bowling Green State University, my Master of Social Work from University Toledo, and am a Licensed Social Worker in Ohio. I am also a Mental Health First Aider Instructor and a Question, Persuade, Refer Trainer. I am also a peer, and have lived with a mental health condition for over a decade. NAMI Wood County has had an influence on my life, and I want to show the community just how impactful this organization can be for them too.
